Privacy Policy

LoanLab ("we", "us", "the app") is an offline EMI (loan repayment) calculator built by HighSerpent. This policy explains, in plain language, what we collect (nothing) and what the app does on your device. Questions? Email gakhar64@gmail.com.

Short version: LoanLab does not collect any personal data. There is no account, no sign-in, no backend server. The numbers you enter never leave your phone. We do not have analytics, ads, tracking pixels, or third-party SDKs that talk to anyone.

1. Who we are

LoanLab is built and operated by Sahil Gakhar under the HighSerpent umbrella. The app runs entirely on your device — there is no LoanLab backend, no LoanLab database, no LoanLab account system.

2. What we collect

Nothing. We do not collect, store, transmit, sell, or share any personal data. There is no signup, no login, no email or phone capture, no device identifier, no advertising ID, no analytics SDK, no crash-reporting SDK, and no tracking of any kind.

The values you type into the calculator (loan amount, interest rate, tenure, EMI, currency choice, theme preference, etc.) are processed entirely on your device. They live only in the app's memory while it is running, plus a small browser-style local store for your UI preferences (e.g. selected currency or comfort/compact density). All of this is wiped when you uninstall the app.

3. Permissions the app uses

3.1 Internet

Required by Android only because the app loads the Geist typeface from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com) for typography. No personal data is sent. Your IP address may be visible to Google as a side effect of the HTTP request, the same as when any web page loads a font; their privacy policy applies: policies.google.com/privacy. If you would prefer to use the app fully offline, the app degrades gracefully to system fonts when offline.

3.2 File save / share (only when you tap Export or Share)

When you choose to export your repayment schedule as a CSV or PDF, the file is generated on your device and saved to your Documents folder, or handed to the system share sheet so you can send it to wherever you choose. We do not see, upload, or copy these files. Only you and the destination you pick (an app, an email, a cloud drive) get the file.

3.3 What we do not request

4. Where data is stored

On your device only. We have no servers that hold LoanLab user data. We could not access your loan inputs even if we wanted to.

5. How long anything is kept

Calculator inputs you type are erased when you change them or close the app. Saved UI preferences (currency, theme, density) live on your device until you uninstall. Files you exported remain wherever you saved them, under your control.

6. Your rights

Because we do not collect personal data, there is nothing to access, export, correct, or delete on our side. To remove the app and all its in-app preferences from your device, simply uninstall it.

7. Sharing with third parties

We do not share data with anyone, because we have no data to share. The only outbound network call from the app is for the Google Fonts CSS file (see section 3.1). We do not partner with advertisers, data brokers, or analytics providers.

8. Children

LoanLab is suitable for general audiences and does not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children under 13.

9. Security

The app's threat surface is small by design: no backend, no auth, no PII, no remote APIs. Web fonts are loaded over HTTPS via Google Fonts; React and Babel runtime scripts are loaded with subresource-integrity (integrity=) hashes so a compromised CDN cannot silently swap them.

10. Changes to this policy

If we ever change what the app does, this page will be updated and the "Effective" date above revised. Material changes (any new data collection at all) would also be announced in the app on its next launch.

11. Contact

Privacy questions, deletion requests (there will be nothing to delete, but ask anyway), or general feedback — write to gakhar64@gmail.com. We aim to respond within 7 working days.
